Iceland Carbon Fund, Channel 2 and co-operating companies present a summer contest June 22 - August 24
Human-induced climate change is one of the greatest environmental challenges facing the Earth and it is up to each and every one of us to help combat this threat by reducing carbondioxide levels in the atmosphere. Kolviður – the Iceland Carbon Fund enables individuals, families, companies and institutions to offset their transportation-related carbon emissions and thus help combat climate change.
The Iceland Carbon Fund, in co-operation with Channel 2, Skeljungur Ltd., Kaupthing Bank, Icelandair, Iceland Oil Ltd., Iceland Post, Iceland Express and Hertz Car Rental, holds a summer contest June 22 – August 24.
Anyone who has offset their car or flights can enter the contest and have a chance at winning fabulous prizes. Prizes are drawn out live every Friday on Channel 2, during the show “Brot úr degi”.
To enter the contest first offset your car or flight on www.kolvidur.is, then print out your receipt, write your name, address and phone number on it, and hand it in at the nearest Iceland Oil Ltd. or Skeljungur Ltd. service station. When handing in receipts for your car you also get a sticker to put on the window of your car.
As part of the programme on Channel 2 during the Bank holiday weekend (August 4-6) presenters from Channel 2 will be out and about and keeping an eye out for cars with the Iceland Carbon Fund sticker in their car window. Listen to Channel 2 during the weekend and you could win a great prize from one of the co-operating companies.
Offset your carbon emissions, hand the receipt in at the nearest Iceland Oil Ltd. or Skeljungur Ltd. service station and you could win a prize!
